Squire: Squires are trained either by the LoS collectively or individually. Squires do not have the same privileges as Knights so that the Squire may better observe and appreciate the Legion of Swordsmen without pressure of policy and decision. The Squire is also not protected under the "saber down" rule, in order to help the Squire improve his awareness, reflexes, and to learn to better cope with griefers.
Knight: Individuals achieve the rank of Knight at the discretion of the trainer. No formal trials are required; however, any graduating ceremony, trial, or otherwise introduction into Knighthood by the trainer is encouraged. The rank of Knight proves that the individual has grasped the concepts given to him/her by the trainer, and is capable of holding one's own. The Knight still has a road ahead in order to gain further respect as an established individual.
Noble: The Noble is the pinnacle of the Legion of Swordsmen. A Noble has proven they understand things beyond simple duels, they're capable of adapting to changes in style and environment, and they've proven they can do more than simply "hold their own." A Noble has gained the respect of his/her peers and has contributed to the clan beyond simple tasks and devoted time to the LoS.
Focus:
Each Knight and Noble is allowed to state a "Focus." This allows each Knight and Noble to specify what they excel in and broaden their uniqueness within the LoS. The Focus can range from Instruction to Dueling, and from Negotiations to Public Relations.
The certifications are earned by swordsmen for successfully proving proficiency in the area certified. The following are the certifications:
SS: Single Saber

LS: Lightsaber Staff
OC: Offensive Combat
DC: Defensive Combat
FF: Full Force use
HR: High Risk
